A very rare pair of WW1 Royal Flying Corps aircraft lamps by Joseph Lucas Ltd, Birmingham.
Circa - 1917.
In excellent original condition and appear to be unused - there is some light paint loss and
minor corrosion, but otherwise complete. Both 'bull's-eye' lenses are undamaged.
Stamped with the Lucas company insignia, and importantly both having the Royal Flying
Corps, and Air Department marks - confirming that they were passed for use in flight.
Complete with mounting brackets and bayonet bulb holders, most likely originally fitted
to a lower wing strut.
