A fine quality (Swiss movement) WW1 French aircraft cockpit clock.

Circa - 1916.

In overall good original condition having an enamel dial and thick
bevelled glass, with correct 'blued' steel hour, minute & seconds
hands.
The enamel dial has some fine hairline cracks, but not badly affected.
The outer plated case is in good condition, with some light scratches
and marks.

Very unusually the movement has a separate glass cover, giving
extra protection from dust - specifically for aviation use.

(Property Of The French Military Aviation)
Confirming its use during WW1.

The clock has been overhauled in recent years and so is
in full working condition, keeping good time.
