WW1 German Aircraft Tachometer

Product Code: German Tachometer
Availability: 1

A very rare and highly collectable WW1 period German aircraft tachometer. By Wilhelm Morell, Leipzig.

Circa - 1917 /18.

The instrument is marked for use with in-line engines, and was most likely paired with the successful Mercedes D.III six-cylinder type.
This was adapted throughout the war and used in various  German aircraft, including the Fokker D.VIII and Albatros variants.

In excellent original condition, with clear needle, dial and bevelled glass. A very interesting point is that the German aviation 'propeller mark' is etched onto the glass with a serial,
or possibly aircraft number.
