A rare WW1 period 'Apprentice Piece' four blade mahogany aircraft propeller.
Showing the design of one of these fine early propellers - in miniature.
Most likely constructed by a cabinet maker from one of the companies who
produced full size examples during WW1, either to demonstrate skills, or as
a travelling sample.
There are no markings, but it has attained an excellent patina, including
drab green painted tips - these have 'crazed' confirming its age.
The blades measure 13.4" 34cm.
