A rare period photograph of WW1 flying ace Albert Ball.
Circa - 1916 / 17.
Good original tone, showing Ball in a leather flying coat and fur lined
helmet. There is very slight damage / fold to one edge.
He was killed in a crash on 7th May 1917 in France, and at the time was the
United Kingdom's leading flying ace with 44 victories, well decorated including
the highest honor of Victoria Cross.
