A rare WW1 period French aircraft airspeed instrument (Anemometre) by AERA, Paris.
Circa - 1917.
In good original condition with clear dial showing airspeed in Kilometers Per Hour, there is some paint loss to the rear case.
The instrument is in working condition when light air pressure is applied to the intake pipe.
An adjustment knob can be turned to fine tune the pointer.
AERA produced fine early aviation and automobile instruments and were equal to Jaeger in quality,
identifiable by their unique 'Penguin' motif.
Sold as a collectable instrument only - and although in working condition, should be fully tested before use.
